Description

If you are teaching economics or if your students need to review goods and services, this resource is for your class! Relaying Goods and Services will not only help students understand economics by identifying goods and services in our world, but it will also give them lots of physical activity. Of course, you know that is a good deal!

The Goal: This game on economics will get out the giggles and wiggles and give students a chance to review what they have learned about goods and services.

Who will like Relaying Goods and Services? This game is perfect for whole class learning or small groups. You will find it fits most students in Kindergarten through Second Grade depending on their levels of abilities and needs.

What is inside this product?

  1. Two Title Cards labeled “Goods” and “Services”
  2. 18 Good Cards
  3. 18 Service Cards
  4. Directions and Rules

Teacher Preparation: Teacher will print, laminate, and cut two sets of economic cards and titles for each team. On the back of each card, the teacher will write an activity like running, skipping, jogging, or walking. Then for each team, label two baskets with the “Goods” and “Services” titles. Place these two baskets on the other side of the room. Place each set of economic cards in a basket for each team. You are now ready to play!!

Directions for Students: Students will be divided into two teams and the teacher will decide who is on what teams and the order of the students. When the teacher says “GO!” Students standing in a line will begin the relay. They will complete the activity on the back of the card, while traveling to the other side of the room. When they get to the baskets, they will decide if their economic card is a good or a service. Students will walk back to their team and get back in line. Silent cheering works great so students do not disturb others. The winner is the team with largest number of correct cards, WINS!
