Here is a student booklet that you can use in your classroom during class to introduce new ideas or you can use this booklet for review! Students can work on this booklet independently, in small groups, or you can use it together during whole class instruction.

In this package, students will become experts at navigating through the textbook. The students will learn about the geography of Alberta's 6 natural regions (Foothills, Canadian Shield, Rocky Mountain, Grassland, Parkland, and Boreal Forest Regions) and be able to distinguish similarities and differences between the regions. Lastly, the young learners will also be able to locate the various regions on an Alberta map.

Included in this package is :

Also, please note that there is a lot of reading involved in order for students to complete the activities in the booklet. Teachers, you may want to consider pairing up low learners with a partner or in small groups so that all students can achieve success. :)
