Reflections Bundle

This bundle introduces Reflections to students by using PowerPoint with fill-in notes from the PowerPoint. There is also a fold-able activity that students can glue-in to their notes for quick reference. The whole activity takes an entire 50 minute class period.

I have found that students struggle with the mirror concept of reflections. So what our Math Department did, was add a patty paper/tracing paper component. Students fold the patty paper in half, they draw whatever they want to draw (most draw a stick figure), and then lightly use their fingers to transfer their drawing to the other half of the paper. This shows them visually what a mirrored/reflected image looks like.
