Reflection and Refraction of Light Hands-On

Included is, 4 hands-on activities for reflection and 4 hands-on activities for refraction. A set of 12 task cards, a page for notes, teacher set-up instructions, 16 matching cards, student data sheets, and images to go with each activity.

Task Cards:

To complete this set of task cards students will read a statement and look at at picture and tell if light is reflecting or refracting. A student recording sheet and answer key are included.

Reflection or Refraction Sorting:

There are 16 cards with images to sort into two categories. This can be a station or introduction activity.

Four Reflection and Four Refraction Hands-On Activities:

Build a periscope, use mirrors to hit a target, test reflections of different surfaces, make a emoji disappear, make a penny appear from nowhere and make an arrow flip. Each activity has teacher directions.
