Description

Literature Guide for Red Scarf Girl by Ji Li Jiang. 87-page novel study on the nonfiction memoir about living in China under Chairman Mao and how the Cultural Revolution affected her family. Good book for middle school ELA, especially 7th grade. Comprehensive novel guide aligned with standards includes pre-reading activities, vocabulary with tests and answer keys, study guide, discussion questions, unit plans, writing focus, grammar practice, supplemental materials and visuals for class discussion, jigsaw reading activities, projects, teaching directions, links to full audio of the book, a link to Quizlet character flashcards, video resource links, final project, rubric, and end of book test - multiple choice assessment (30 questions).

The chapters are divided into four sections for the vocabulary and Little Red Book activities. The lists go with these four parts of the book that we also used with the “Little Red Book” activity.
