Recycling Activities for Earth Day

Recycling Activities Pack:

This is a set of fun activities about recycling! It's a great complement for any unit about Earth Day or recycling. Here's what's included:

1. Recycling Sort: Students will sort the recyclable items by type and then glue the sort onto construction paper.

2. Pocket Chart Cards: This is a set of pocket chart cards that can be used in a whole-group or small-group sorting activity or recycling lesson.

3. Recycling Labeling Page: Students will label recyclable objects.

4. Recycling Graphs: There are two versions included. The first version has pictures of items for students to graph. For the second version, students will bring recyclable items from home and graph them.

5. Magazine Recycling Hunt: Students will find pictures of recyclable items in magazines, cut them out, and glue them onto the page. (Two page options are included.)

6. "I Can Recycle!" Interactive Book Activity: Students will read each page of the book, and then cut out and glue the picture that matches the text.

7. Two Recycling Crown Templates: Simply attach construction paper strips to the sides to form the crown.

8. "Race to Recycle" Addition Game (for 2-4 players): Comes with a color and black-and-white version.

This is not a unit. Instead, it's designed to supplement your instruction about recycling or Earth Day.

This is designed for kindergarten, but you might be able to use some parts with other grades!
