Description

This file consists of a 1 page reading comprehension passage and a set of 5 comprehension questions related to the passage. The included passage contains background information about the Abraham Lincoln's early life, and a no-cook recipe to create a log cabin snack. Students can read the passage, create the recipe, and answer the comprehension questions. This product is useful for test prep and in engaging reluctant readers, and fits in well with a unit on President's Day or Abraham Lincoln. It has been successfully completed by students in grades 2 through 5. Please download the free preview offering to determine whether the reading level is appropriate for your class. This product is also available as part of my "Recipes for Reading Comprehension, Volume 2" collection and as part of my "Recipes for Reading - Bundled Package", which contains all 27 of my Recipes for Reading files. Each recipe is also available individually. by Rebecca Bettis
