Reading Rhythms– Music Theory Curriculum (Rhythm Only)

This rhythm packet is designed to help beginning instrumentalists learn to read and perform rhythms with or without their instruments. We have used this packet along with our 10 beginning skills book for many years and love it. Our goal is to share this resource to "aide" music teachers in their quest to help all students learn and enjoy their instruments during a typical year or even distance learning during a pandemic. This rhythm packet will give your students the confidence they need to succeed as they learn a new instrument.

A 12 page packet (PDF format) that helps you explain, teach, and guide students through the basics of reading music notation. This packet isolates and emphasizes reading rhythms and does not include reading pitches on a music staff.
