What educators are saying

This helped me 'encourage' my kids to do their reading homework. Did they love it? Not so much. Did I see better results in getting students to actually do their nightly reading? Yep. Very happy.
Very customizable! I was able to use this resource for a particularly precocious reader in my 2nd grade class who needed an extra challenge for his reading homework! Thank you!

Description

This weekly reading log helps students hone their comprehension and summarizing skills daily. There are 9 formats, 68 questions, and variations of response boxes, minute tracking graphs, parent signatures, and blank options. Perfect for heading back to school! Not only can you use this as a nightly reading log but I love to use it for student accountability during reading rotations and centers.

★ Practice reading response skills nightly

★ Holds students accountable for nightly reading

★ 9 Formats (see preview for more details)

★ 68 Common Core aligned Questions

***Teacher Suggestion: I copy the questions back to back with the response log. Students turn them in every Friday. At the end of Friday I pick one response that I LOVED and felt embodied what I wanted the responses to look like. This student gets to pick a reward from our class choice board. It keeps them on their toes all week! :)
