Are you looking for a great way to get your students excited about reading? This genre challenge is the perfect way to motivate kids to expand their reading preferences. The book badges are an engaging alternative to a reading log.

Students earn fun, colorful badges as they complete challenges. The challenges are based on 16 different genres:

  • Science Fiction
  • Survival
  • Poetry
  • Historical Fiction
  • Fable & Fairy Tale
  • Myth
  • Fantasy
  • Legend
  • Realistic Fiction

After completing a challenge, students get to add the corresponding badge to their library. When they complete all the challenges, or "fill their library," they are awarded fun and unique bookmarks.
