Reading Levels Unpacked: Levels L-Z

The biggest question I get from parents is “Level what? What does that mean?” I did my research and created this guide for parents AND teachers! Use it as a quick reference guide, tool to plan your strategy groups or guided reading groups, or a flyer for parents when their child advances to that level.

This document helps you:

-Show parents you aren't just naming a student's level based on an assessment, rather you truly know his or her strengths as a reader

-Explain to parents the skills their child needs to progress to the next reading level with fluency and comprehension

-Give parents specific strategies to reinforce when reading at home with their child

This 17 page document is set up so parents and teachers can quickly see targeted skills for the level their child is on, as well as skills he/she is working towards for the next reading level (bottom half of the page).

This product is created for levels L-Z only (end of 2nd grade through 9th grade+).
