What educators are saying
Description
Combine word reading and sentence reading fluency for the ULTIMATE reading fluency resource! This NO prep 237-page phonics resource covers ALL the phonics spelling rules with real and nonsense words fluency grids and decodable sentences for each word.
How to Use Reading Fluency Grids:
- 6 words with the same targeted phonics skill are scrambled on separate rows on the grid.
- Student tracks across the page reading the words aloud on the top row of the reading fluency grid.
- Student then reads the next line with the same words, but in a different order.
- Student repeats until he reaches the bottom of the page.
How to Use Reading Fluency Sentences:
- Each sentence page includes three different sentences for each of the words from the reading fluency grids.
- The student reads the sentences aloud (ideally while tracking underneath with his finger/pencil).
- For additional scaffolding, ask your student to highlight the target word in each sentence prior to reading them.
- Reading can be done as independent work, with a partner, or in a small group.
Resources Included:
- Real word fluency grids (for word recognition)
- Nonsense word fluency grids (for word recognition) (144 grids!!)
- Decodable sentences for EACH fluency grid...that's 1,566 decodable sentences that students can read straight from the page!
