Make teaching reading comprehension passages and questions with identifying long and short vowel words easy! This set includes reading passages perfect for reading and identifying long and short vowel words. These printable are quick and low prep perfect for independent centers or substitute days, too!

Here's what you'll get:

This pack includes 10 different reading passages. Each passage has a printable with the passage and 2 comprehension questions and a 2nd printable with the passage and a table for the student to list closed short vowel sounding words and long vowel sounding words.

So there are 20 printables in this pack--10 passages with comprehension questions, and the same passages with the table to be word detectives.

Your students will love the fact that there are two different versions for each passage. That way, they are building up their fluency and their confidence in reading!

Prep is quick and easy... Just print the student pages, and you're class will be engaged and excited to practice finding and reading words with long and short vowels.
