What educators are saying

I have only used the author's purpose portion of this bundle and I loved it so much I bought the rest. The kids were engaged in the activities and had rich discussions about books. I am excited to implement the rest of these activities next year.
These have been awesome to use when working with my students on comprehension. They are easy to use and the students enjoy reading the passages.

    Description

Looking to enhance your comprehension instruction with engaging and memorable activities? This BUNDLE contains all of my reading comprehension units, which are full of activities, crafts, and NO PREP graphic organizers to introduce and practice these comprehension skills and strategies in a way your students will love! The best part of all is that most of these activities can be used with ANY book!

ALL units in this bundle have been completely UPDATED, many with themes that are perfect for a room transformation!

Comprehension is the final goal of reading instruction. When students are comprehending text, they are making meaning by connecting what has been read to what they already know. Being able to comprehend a text takes effort and knowledge of the different reading strategies and skills that can be used while reading text.

These units teach those reading skills and strategies in fun, meaningful, and consistent ways. Many of the units have themes that are great for room transformations. I am always updating the resources included and adding new ones from time to time. Be on the lookout for updates to each of the resources!

    Each resource includes:

    • Opening activities will get students excited about the new comprehension skill or strategy! They provide application of the strategy in the real world in simple terms.
    • Cooperative group or centers activity to be used throughout the entire unit---student groups rotate the activity each day for exposure to new books and passages, with practice of the skill or strategy.
    • Comprehension Posters
    • Anchor Charts
    • Graphic Organizers

    • Students Badges
    • Interactive Notebook Templates
