Reader's Theater Play Script: Stone Soup

Four cold and hungry travelers came to a little village along their journey. The village was very small and the villagers were not used to strangers. They told the travelers there was no room to rest, no food for them to eat. So, the travelers decide to make a batch of their favorite stone soup. The curious villagers soon begin to help them, donating ingredients one by one until both the travelers and villagers sit down together to enjoy a bowl of the warm, tasty soup.

Stone Soup is a traditional folktale told in many different countries and cultures around the world. This original script version includes ten speaking parts and teaches the importance of sharing, compassion, and community.
