What educators are saying

Readers theater is one of the "May do" choices my students have when they finish their "Must do" work. The kids like working with a partner why improving their sight word reading and prosody all while having fun.
Love this resource! Added it in to our centers for our fairytale and fables unit. The kids love acting out some of their favorite books

Description

Reader's Theater - These plays can be used for centers, Language Arts activities, fluency practice, partner reading, etc.

These plays are designed and created with beginning readers in mind. Each play has large font, picture clues, and predictable sentence patterns.

Ten plays are included. Each play is an adaptation based on popular fairy tales and fables, but are created and written by A Teeny Tiny Teacher. All plays are two pages in length.

Each play has two characters to encourage partnership and teamwork.

If you are doing this as a whole class activity and have more students than plays, just make an extra set of plays. It’s okay if more than one pair are doing the same play. Students can give each other pointers and learn from one another!

Common Core State Standards are included.

Titles of the plays:
The Gingerbread Man
Goldilocks
Stone Soup
Jack and the Beanstalk
Tortoise and the Hare
Three Little Pigs
City Mouse and Country Mouse
Little Red Hen
Billy Goats Gruff
