Reader's Theater: Economics in Action!

Use the power of Reader’s Theaters to help students learn key ECONOMIC concepts in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade! 4 individual scripts are provided that contain 3-5 parts each, guaranteeing that everyone is participating and engaged! Students will learn all about natural resources, capital resources, entrepreneurship, human resources, goods, services, market, budget, wants and needs and so much more with classic stories including The Little Red Hen, Stone Soup, The Ant and the Grasshopper, and The Emperor’s New Clothes! Directly aligned to the common core standards for oral speaking, expression, and fluency, students will actively engage in character dialogue in order to complete included connection activity sheets for economic standard reviews! By providing more than 16 parts in total, ALL students will have a chance to practice fluency, utilize expression, and increase their basic knowledge of economic terms and concepts found in these fun stories! This set provides a perfect cross-curricular, integrated activity that helps meet Social Studies content as well as the Language Arts common core standards in the areas of language, fluency & expression!
