Random Grouping Cards

This is a pdf file for cards used to create random groups of 3. I use these to help my thinking classroom and we use random groups almost daily.

There are six different ways to group based on these specific cards: animal, fruit, sport, shape, color (of shape) and parent function equation.

There are 2 wild cards (with question marks) that I used for my classes that are over 30. Or you could include those for fun! I pass cards out at the beginning of class and then when class starts, I announce which groups we are using that day.

The first 4 pages of the document contain the 32 cards. I cut these cards out and laminated them using small laminating pouches I purchased on Amazon.

The last pages are the labels I put in the location where I want the groups to relocate in my classroom. I printed these and laminated to put above the white boards where each group will be working for the day.
