These Tropical Rainforest Animal Trading Cards make a fun supplement to your rainforest habitat, Amazon, jungle, or life science unit.

The 24 rainforest animals included in this set are the: Anaconda, Anteater, Blue Morpho Butterfly, Boa Constrictor, Caiman, Cassowary, Chimpanzee, Fruit Bat, Giant African Millipede, Gorilla, Howler Monkey, Iguana, Jaguar, Orangutan, Piranha, Poison Dart Frog, Red Eyed Tree Frog, Scarlet Macaw, Sloth, Spider Monkey, Tapir, Tiger, Toucan, Wolf Spider

This product includes:

• 24 Filled out cards: The front of each card features clipart of the tropical rainforest animal along with its “Fast Stats” which are the top weight, length, lifespan and number of offspring of the animal. I included symbols for each of these so even prereaders will understand what the numbers mean. The backside of each card includes the animal’s: diet, habitat, predators, adaptations and a world map showing the rainforest animal’s location.
• 24 Black and white cards: These use much less ink and are fun for children to color themselves with crayons or colored pencils.
• 8 Blank trading card templates: Children can use these to create their own animal trading cards by drawing a picture of the animal on the front and writing information about it on the back.
• Foldable box and Interactive Notebook (INB) sleeve templates: Optional templates for a box or sleeve to print out, cut and fold for children to store their cards in.

• Complete Sentence Showdown: Students ask and answer questions about their animals using complete sentences.
• Animal Battle: A game comparing the animals’ statistics
• Math Battle War: Students use the animals’ “fast stats” to practice all 4 mathematical operations.
• Add to Your Deck: A fun writing activity where students create more animal trading cards of their own which they can use to play all the games.
