Radical R Words, Speech Therapy for R Articulation, speech practice /r/

Radical R Words is a list of words sorted into type and position of R. There are at least 30 words in each category to maximize sound mastery! The first 10 words are single syllable (when possible) and can be used as a starting point. When they are mastered, move down the list. The words get progressively more difficult towards the end of the list.

These lists are my "go to" R lists that I use every day for speech therapy. I find that many people have R strengths and weaknesses. By finding the type and position of R difficulty, we can really target the areas that need strengthened. Radical R Words is perfect for the therapy room, 5-minute speech practice, or home practice. The words can be used for many activities. You can use them with a game, in a sentence, in made-up stories, and in conversation.
