What educators are saying

Great resource to compare two articles!!! It definitely challenged my students but it allowed high order thinking. Thanks for a great resource!

Description

This product was created to satisfy the CCSS RI.2.9 and consists of:

1. A page with two texts on the same topic- rabbits. Students are asked to read the two passages and underline the important points that are similar in both texts.

2. A response page where students are asked to write three points that are similar in both texts, three points that are different, and two questions about the appropriate use of each text (ex: Which passage would be most helpful if you are doing a report about rabbits?)

3. Answer Keys.

Students are able to manage the texts easily because they are on the same page.

Although there are Easter bunnies on the pages, they can be used at any time.

I have used this to assess my students, and they were able to be independent. They also enjoyed the topic.

I believe that it could also be used in third grade for the comparative standard RI.3.9.

I hope you find it useful and keep it as a part of your teaching tool kit.

Thank you,

A and L Kreations
