READY MADE BUNDLES!!!

This National Nutrition Month comprehension Task Card set contains TWO STORY BOARDS (National Nutrition Month) and 20 “Task Box Filler” task cards for SET A (3rd/4th grade) and 15 task cards for SET B (1st/2ndgrade), each with one visually supported question and a choice of three responses. Build upon reading comprehension IEP Goal skills for students with autism or special learning needs. This will quickly become a class favorite! Use as a seasonal independent work task, literacy center, one-on-one activity, or even as a learning activity for your autumn celebration!

WILL THIS TAKE A LOT OF PREP TIME?

Oh, no! Just print the pages (4 cards to a page), laminate, trim. NO VELCRO REQUIRED! Just use a thin dry erase marker to mark each response.

HOW WILL THIS HELP MY STUDENTS WITH COMPREHENSION?

Using pictures to refer back to and picture symbols to help with responses, your students will be able to easily “look back” to the story and find each response. THE TASK CARDS MAY BE PRESENTED IN ANY ORDER!!! For children who are struggling with comprehension skills, or are just beginning to focus on this skill, it is suggested to present the task cards in numerical order. Each question follows the story in sequential order to help students learn how to “look back” and find the details. ALSO, as an additional reading strategy, the child may use a highlighter to put a line through each sentence where an answer has been found.!
