What educators are saying

My students work hard at answering written response questions but always leave something out - This form will make sure they do not leave anything out - it is a great check list as well as a prompt to get a stuck student started
These cards became part of my Writing Tools and whenever students needed a reminder of what components were part of the R.A.C.E strategy, they would go and get a card to use independently. Thanks for making your resource available.

Description

R.A.C.E Writing Strategy Card: How to Answer Constructive Response Prompts

Are your students ready for the PARCC? Standardized tests? Looking for a way to teach, "how to cite evidence?"

--The RACE acronym has been around for as long as I can remember. It is proven to be a successful way to get your students to remember the formula!

Includes:

-Directions on how to print, cut, and use the cards

-How to answer the constructed response prompts that are found in most standardized tests. Your students can use this card to also prepare for "how to respond to discussion prompts."

(due to the size of the card this resource is an abridged version of the instructional material. The purpose of the card is to reinforce, apply, or review the writing strategy)

Please provide me with really appreciated feedback!
