Description
This presentation started as one for younger grades (grades 3-5), but I quickly found it useful for middle school grades as well.
The RACE presentation takes students step-by-step through the Restate, Answer, Cite, and Explain process of constructive response. The process is modeled using one prompt, created for the short story book Step-Stomp-Stride.
This 40-slide presentation includes the following:
★17 pages of instructional slides
★Independent constructed response prompt that also uses Step-Stomp-Stride
★Color handouts for students to use as a resource
★Black and white handouts for students to use as a resource
