Quilt Templates - Valentine's Day
Description
Valentine's Quilt Templates for both Math and Art Lessons! 12 designs, ranging from simple to complex designs. The possibilities are endless with these Valentine's quilt templates.
Create class quilts. Each student colors one page, cuts the whole square, glues onto construction paper. Then the pieces are displayed together. Great for all class projects to celebrate unity, diversity, teamwork, class spirit, etc.
You can copy more than one quilt design, and distribute to the students. This immediately adds variety to the final quilt.
You can reduce quilt sizes, giving students the opportunity to create their own mini-quilts.
Other suggestions:
K-1: Color using pre-set two or three colors; drawing things that they love.
2-3: Color (with select templates) to show symmetry; writing positive adjectives; using water-color to paint.
3-5: give students red and white paint - they mix up and create their own shades of pink to color in their quilts.
4-5: Color and then calculate fractions based on colors used.
4-5: Measurement: take dimensions of a quilt, and have student enlarge x2 or x3 using rulers/yardsticks and butcher paper.
