WHAT’S INCLUDED:

• Anchor Charts/Posters: These full-page posters describe what the question words are and how to make yes/no questions. All anchor charts use student friendly language and visuals.
• Word Wall Cards: These word wall cards make it easy to display common examples of question words individually for students.
• Flashcards: Similar to the word wall cards, each target word comes with a card showing a visual that represents it. Students write the word on the back of the card in order to practice and study their words.
• Lift-the-Flap Foldables: Students cut along the dotted lines to fold each side over the center images. Then, they write the target words on the outsides of the flaps.
• Cut & Paste: Students and match the target words to their visual representation in this hands-on cut and glue activity.
• Matching: Students match the target words and then sentences to an accompanying visual.

• Let’s Write: Students circle the question word and then write the word in a question below.
• Let’s Read: Students read a comic strip style text in the present progressive tense. Then, they highlight where the question words are found in context.
• Make a Question: Use a bank of questions to write the question that belongs to each visual.
• Chart Fill-Ins: Students create (1) negative and positive answers to yes/no questions (2) yes/no questions that match provided answers.
