What educators are saying

My students loved this activity! It was well organized and easy to followed the steps on working with the quadratic formula. Thank you for this excellent resource!
I'll NEVER teach this concept again without this! The highlighting and step by step makes it too easy for the kids to not get it right away! Thank you for creating this:)

Description

These worksheets shows how I teach the quadratic formula. I have found that students understand and grasp the formula easier with what I call the "skeleton method". The product comes with a guided practice with and answer key, and 3 worksheets where students can work out problems using the same method. The initial problems are not given, just the graphic organization. Just copy some quadratic functions from a text book on the board and have them use those. This lesson uses highlighters to differentiate which is the coefficient a, b, & c. There is a brief explanation of the lesson included.
