Included in this set are 15 Pythagorean theorem word problems activity task cards, a student answer sheet, and an answer key. These Pythagorean theorem activity cards are all short answer questions. Students will read the Pythagorean theorem word problems then calculate the answer for each one. The included answer key makes it easy to check answers.
There are multiple ways I use task cards in my classroom. Sometimes I have students pair up, sometimes I have students work alone. When students work in pairs, I give each student a task card. Students then work together to solve each of the problems. After a certain amount of time (2-3minutes) each group passes their cards to the next group. When I have students work on task cards by themselves, I pass out the task cards, then set a timer so that every 2-4minutes students pass their cards. These cards can also be separated into centers. You could also arrange 5 centers in your classroom with 3 cards each and have groups of students visit each center for a given amount of time (or print out multiple copies of the cards to create more centers).
A black and white version of the cards (to save on ink) is included.
