Description
In a project combining high school geometry with creative design and art, students will discover connections between: Pythagorean Theorem, Special Right Triangles, Right Triangle Trigonometry, patterns, and design. This highly engaging project includes both a Pythagorean spiral creation and also requires students to show supporting math calculations to find hypotenuse lengths and central angle measures (SOH CAH TOA). This is always a favorite project of my students year after year!!
A student samples are shown in the files attached, showing ideas for a design of the spiral.
