Punctuation and Capitalization - 11 types - Bundle, for Instruction and Review.

Engaging, easy-to-use, units to help struggling students understand punctuation and capitalization. 11 types Bundle, can be used to initially teach the various types of punctuation, as well as for review. Each type of punctuation can be taught separately. I have used all these lessons with 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th-grade students, as well as with English Language Learners.

Following "Now, you try it" is an answer key to check for understanding and reteach a concept, if necessary. I have had a great deal of success with these lessons, even with adults.

Included in this bundle are:

1. The four types of sentences, with end punctuation.

2. Commas, semi-colons, and colons.

3. Quotation marks, underlining, and italics.

4. Apostrophes

5. Hyphens

6. Capitalization

I have used "Now, you try it" in different ways.
1. With individual whiteboards to check for understanding.
2. As a quiz with each student writing on paper.
3. In groups, either using whiteboards or paper.
