Punching the Air Novel Study: COMPLETE RESOURCE BUNDLE

This bundle of resources and learning workbooks are based on the novel Punching the Air written by Ibi Zoboi and Yusef Salaam.

The first workbook focuses on cementing student understanding of the plot and structure of this free verse novel. The second workbook focused on character and relationship analysis. In the third workbook, students are developing their understanding of themes and symbols. In the fourth workbook, students are scaffolded to combine their knowledge into a literature response essay.

Also included are a series of Reading Questions and an Adapted Reading List to enable all students to engage fully with the text.

This can be completed as a series of whole class lessons, individually, or in small groups. It is also suitable for distance learning and was originally utilised as a Google Classroom assignment.
