Recording science explorations this Hallowe’en is fun and easy for ALL learners with these 3 differentiated pumpkin investigation journals! They include cut-and-paste, tracing, and supported writing options to allow each of your students to record their observations of pumpkins. Students practice using their 5 senses and measuring attributes of their pumpkin such as big/little, tall/short, heavy/light. These journals are perfect to practice a range of skills including reading, writing, printing, fine motor, and more.
This product includes 3 differentiated Pumpkin Investigation Journal options:
-Pumpkin Investigation ADAPTED Journal: Great for non-writers, students use the visual cues to colour and cut/paste to create their memory book
-Pumpkin Investigation TRACING Journal: Great for beginning writers, students trace their chosen responses to each writing prompt, and cut/paste their response into their memory book
-Pumpkin Investigation WRITING Journal: Great for emergent writers, students use the provided word banks to complete the sentences.
Each Journal includes 8 prompts:
Cover
Tall or Short (measuring height)
Sink or Float (investigation buoyancy)
Heavy or Light (measuring weight/mass)
Big or Little (measuring circumference)
Many or Few (counting seeds)
5 Senses (adjectives to describe a pumpkin, including tough, hearing, sight, smell, and taste)
Jack-o-Lantern (design a pumpkin; describing feelings and emotions)
