Description

The following 8-page document is a study guide movie packet to guide a viewer's analysis of the 1960 film "Psycho" directed by Alfred Hitchcock. The study guide can be used for study in an English or film studies class. The first page provides a cast and crew list and a background and introduction to the film. The second page provides a notes page for viewers to write their notes. The third page is a grammar mini-lesson on subject-verb agreement with sentences related to the film. The fourth and fifth pages provide comprehension questions that actively challenge viewers to analyze the work's story and style. The sixth and seventh pages provide some notable shots from the film and ask students to review the cinematography in these shots and explain their intended effect and/or meaning. The eighth page provides discussion questions on the work's conflict, motifs, symbolism, and themes.

A multiple choice quiz on the film that can be used as a summative assessment is available as a separate purchase.
