What educators are saying
Description
In this activity students are asked to examine 24 sets of triangles to determine if they are being shown congruent by Side-Side-Side (SSS), Side-Angle-Side (SAS), Angle-Side-Angle (ASA), Angle-Angle-Side (AAS) or Hypotenuse-Leg (HL). Some figures are a showcasing a single method, while others are multiple methods. After examing each of the 24 sets students are asked to cut them out, and paste them under a heading of SSS, SAS, ASA, AAS, HL or More Than One Method.
This is a great cooperative learning activity as well as visual way for students to SEE the different methods of proving triangles congruent in action!
