What educators are saying

One of my favorite things to use with my students - they responded really well to it and it aligned perfectly with my standards!

Description

Protestant Reformation Pop Up Notes & Lesson Plan

This super-engaging lesson has your students creating a pop up-like graphic organizer in their notebooks on Martin Luther and the Protestant Reformation! It includes the printable graphic organizer, a PowerPoint on Luther and beginning of the Protestant Reformation, plus even more bonus activities!

To reinforce the problems within the Catholic Church, students cut open the church doors and list the Catholic Church's problems underneath the doors - so the problems are literally inside the church!

Two different versions (which are also editable) are included for your convenience if you choose to edit or add any content! The PowerPoint also briefly covers Luther's influences (Jan Wycliffe & Jan Huss) along with an exit ticket to gauge student understanding.

This is a fantastic, creative activity that works especially well with my English language learners, special education students, and visual or kinesthetic learners!

As a culminating bonus activity, this Comparing the Beliefs of Catholics and Protestants worksheet and reading is included and can be completed by students for homework. PLUS you also receive a group activity to simulate the Council of Trent's response to Luther and the growing Reformation movement!

This is a fantastic, memorable lesson that will reinforce key concepts from state and Common Core history standards and have your students engaged for the whole period!

These resources can also be had at a steep discount as part of this wonderful Renaissance and Reformation Unit Bundle!

Note: If you are looking for a more comprehensive PowerPoint, please see this Protestant Reformation PowerPoint Lesson which covers the Reformation in much more detail.
