Description

This activity is interactive and engaging as students manipulate DNA and RNA to assemble amino acids and create a protein using the instructions of DNA; simulating the cellular actions of protein synthesis. It is best used after an introductory lesson on protein synthesis (or at least after introducing the nucleotides involved in protein synthesis) or as a review activity. Review questions are included.
