Description

Your students will love seeing how their math skills apply to the real world with these end of the year project based learning math review activities for 4th, 5th, and 6th grade! This Plan a Vacation to the Fair Math Project includes two differentiated packets of math enrichment activities to support project based learning. Each math review packet has 26 worksheets of activities to get 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students to apply their math skills to real-world scenarios. This math project is perfect for math enrichment, small group or partner activities, math centers, emergency sub plans, test prep, and more!

When completing this real-world math project, students get to plan the details of an overnight trip to the fair! They will choose a hotel, determine which vehicle to take, create a schedule, buy admission tickets, choose rides, play fair games, and much more!  Every decision is made by solving one-step or multi-step math word problems.

There are two differentiated versions of this math project included! The advanced version includes decimals and decimal operations (particularly with money) while the basic version does not. The basic version is ideal for 4th grade, while the advanced version is ideal for 5th grade and 6th grade.
