What educators are saying

This is an awesome resource I used during a Bat Themed Unit with my 4th and 5th graders. It was highly engaging for all.
We used this for part of our classroom transformation day. The students were very interested in the research during this PBL unit.

Description

Project Based Learning Activity: Bats! .

This project integrates elements of research, animals, science, design, and planning as students learn about all about bats. At the end of this PBL students will design create a zoo exhibit on bats, applying information they learned about. There is also a class project for creating their own bat house (made from boxes).

As students work through each page, they will make their own decisions and choose the outcomes based on information they learn. By the end, all students will have completed the project, but each version will be based on the creator’s imagination, creativity, and knowledge base.

All pages can be geared towards multiple grade levels, although for some younger students the teacher may need to give more explicit instructions.

Students may choose to use multiple resources to complete each page. They might even choose to work with a partner, but you get final say on that.
