What educators are saying

This was very helpful for my students to recognize and apply the skills related to the attributes of various shapes.

Description

This product includes a variety of printable and digital worksheets to supplement your instruction about quadrilaterals and their attributes! They are perfect to use as exit tickets or extra practice.

Here’s what you’ll find inside:

  • Attributes of Quadrilaterals graphic organizer: a flow chart your students can complete and use as a resource throughout the year, in which students identify the different attributes of each type of quadrilateral. I make a matching anchor chart we hang on our math wall! 4 different versions of this graphic organizer are included.
  • Shape Searches: several searches for your students to practice identifying quadrilaterals, parallelograms, rectangles, rhombuses, squares, and trapezoids. Full sheet and half-sheet versions are included. Use bingo dabbers with these for extra fun. These are a great exit ticket!
  • Identifying Parallel Lines: two options for students to practice identifying and labeling parallel lines in different polygons.
  • Identifying Right Angles: one option for students to identify and label right angles in different polygons.
  • Picture Search: four options for students to look through drawings I SPY style and identify parallel lines, right angles, and/or quadrilaterals hidden in the scenes.

This resource includes a link to make a copy of the digital version of this resource in Google Slides. You can choose which slides you want to assign your students via digital learning platforms like Google Classroom or Seesaw!

Standards

to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
Understand that shapes in different categories (e.g., rhombuses, rectangles, and others) may share attributes (e.g., having four sides), and that the shared attributes can define a larger category (e.g., quadrilaterals). Recognize rhombuses, rectangles, and squares as examples of quadrilaterals, and draw examples of quadrilaterals that do not belong to any of these subcategories.
Draw points, lines, line segments, rays, angles (right, acute, obtuse), and perpendicular and parallel lines. Identify these in two-dimensional figures.
