Description

I am always trying to figure out what to do with my little primary groups, and this unit was a definite hit with my kindergartners. It would work well with 1st grade too or the regular 2nd grade classroom. The full unit contains more than 2 hours of contact time.

It’s active, fun, and challenging for these little ones and seemed to have the right combination of “get up and move,” imagination, creativity, and “making” along with academic tasks.

We learn about four important properties of air: 1.) air is everywhere; 2.) air takes up space; 3.) wind is air moving; and 4.) air pushes things.

You get all you need with the download except for locating a couple appropriate picture books (you won’t need specific titles) and a few easy to find, low cost materials. This unit is also Common Core Language Arts referenced and fits with Next Generation Science goals.
