Description

PRESIDENTS' DAY ACTIVITIES for GRADES 1-2

These low-prep informational flip books are a great addition to your plans for any of the following:

  • Presidents' Day
  • A Biography Unit of Study
  • Research and Reporting

The resource includes two (2) flip books, one for each president:

  • President George Washington
  • President Abraham Lincoln

Each includes nonfiction text features:

  • A Timeline of Important Events
  • Captions Matching Illustrations
  • Age-Appropriate Facts About Each President

I made these books for my first grade students, but they would also work with 2nd graders who need a little extra support. See the preview for a sample of the text level. It varies across the pages to allow for differentiation within a classroom.

The finished books are rich with text and support standards-based instruction. Encourage the children to reread them for fluency and understanding.
