Would you like a way to teach your about the Presidents honored with a national holiday? If so, this scavenger hunt can do that. Students are required to read 17 short passages about George Washington and Abraham Lincoln to find the answers to questions on their worksheet.
Hide the cards in your room and let the students search for them, use it in a more orderly fashion like Scoot, or assign it to students individually through Easel. You can even make it a competition between groups of students to see which group finds all of the correct answers first. Anyway you use them, students will be able to practice reading informational text and learn all at the same time!
The information on these cards is organized so you can choose to have students just work on the information on Abraham Lincoln or just George Washington. It can also be completed in its entirety.
