    Description

Everything you need to teach your students about the election process as the 2020 election draws near.

The next Presidential election is closer than we think, and will provide some interesting discussions! Our kids will hear things about the candidates and the election at home, and may bring the discussion and questions into class with them. It can be hard to decide how to handle it all inside our classrooms.

This resource will get your students talking about what issues are important to them, will allow them to learn and think about each candidate, explore some of the terms and practices associated with the election and inauguration, and will even allow them to walk in the shoes of the candidates through poetry and writing.

The current US President and the Democratic candidate are included to begin giving students a chance to discuss their close reads. As the primaries progress and some clear vice presidential candidates emerge, the bundle will be updated. Another update will occur to reflect the results of the national election.
