The quotes range from his days as a revolutionary, to his presidency, and to his post-presidency life. Students translate what Jefferson believes and states in each quote, then completes a web-quest portion of this project to examine more about how his actions line up to his beliefs. Students learn about the contradictions with the Louisiana Purchase, his incompatible views with "all men are created equal" as an enslaver, his views of the role of government, and much, much more. A final prompt is included!

This resource includes a paper in-class version and a 1:1 Google compatible version to be used in conjunction with Google Classroom. Just follow the included instructions for how to access the Google version, then share the resource through Google or assign via Google Classroom.
