Description

This fun lesson explores Election Day and explains how the 2024 electoral college works. The activities are engaging for students & the guided, 6-E format is easy for you to use! First, test their knowledge of Election Day with a fun “Fact or Fiction?” warm-up. Then, explore the political parties and introduce key vocabulary. Fill-in notes accompany the lesson. Next, investigate the reasons for establishing an electoral college system and how the US president is elected. Finally, challenge students to create an electoral map to showcase the results of the upcoming 2024 US Presidential election. Print & interactive, digital versions of the materials are included.
