Description
In this experiment students will explore the importance of washing their hands with soap, in this perceived science experiment. Perfect for Back to School, or Health and Body Units. Directions and worksheets both included in the PDF download, other outside materials needed will include a plastic/styrofoam plate, dish soap, and pepper.
At this age, because students are developmentally more concrete thinkers than abstract thinkers, we really focus on making predictions and observations more than the "why" behind the experiment (but I do include a why for each experiment as well). In this experiments predetermined worksheet, students predict if the dish soap will make the germs bubble, or move off from the hand.
