Prepositions Adapted Interactive Book (Dog Theme) for Special Education

This prepositions interactive book is a great way to practice prepositional phrases and assess students understanding of the prepositions in, on, behind, in front, between, next to and under. Students read the sentence with their teacher and then select the correct preposition from the visuals and stick them in the box.

14 book pages are included each featuring a different preposition statement with the prepositional phrase missing "The dog is _____ the table". Each preposition has two pages in the book. Each page includes attractive clipart of dogs and simple sentences with a repetitive structure.

Includes 14 preposition visuals created with Smarty Symbols. The student will use these to fill in the blank on each page.

Pages will require cutting in half, laminating and binding on the top edge. Preposition visuals will need to be cut out and laminated individually and then have hard Velcro placed on the back of them. Soft Velcro can then be placed on the backing page (which teachers place the array of visuals for students to choose from) and icons stuck down for storage. This page then gets bound into the book but left at full size so that it remains visible when each page is in use. Soft Velcro should be placed on the empty boxes within the book so that students can stick down the response they have chosen. See preview to better understand how this book will look once created!
