Description

Help prepare your high schoolers for transition by learning about how to be prepared for job interviews. These materials are geared toward students in self-contained special education programs with a reading level between 1st to 3rd grade.

Some materials include an editable Google Doc version so that you can adjust the materials for your specific student needs. The digital version is also beneficial for some students who might need to be able to type their answers. Please read the description of each item below carefully!

1) Learning about Job Interviews (4 pages) Printable + Google Docs

· Students will read about job interviews and answer comprehension questions.

2) Do’s and Don’ts for Job Interviews (4 pages total, regular and adapted versions) Printable + Google Docs

· Students will list or sort the do’s and don’ts for having a successful job interview, including how to dress, how to communicate appropriately, and more. Text and picture options are provided for sorting.

3) Practice Interview Questions (5 pages total, regular and adapted versions) Printable + Google Docs

· Students will practice writing or speaking their answers to common interview questions.

4) Evaluate Mock Interviews (1 page) Printable

· A simple evaluation sheet that can be used as a self-evaluation, peer evaluation, or teacher feedback after a mock interview.

5) Mock Interview Questions Guide (3 pages) Printable

· A quick guide to conducting mock interviews with suggested questions for various types of jobs.
