What educators are saying

This was a cute craft. I will provide a bit more scaffolding when I do it again this year. It was aligned with what I needed to teach.
This is a great resource to review prefixes and suffixes. Students were engaged while reviewing skills!

    Description

Enhance students' grasp of prefixes and suffixes with these engaging and interactive crafts! Ideal for end-of-year review sessions, these activities empower students to recognize words with prefixes and suffixes, understand the meaning of each prefix/suffix, and leverage their knowledge to interpret word meanings creatively. Enjoy a fun-filled prefix and suffix review experience!

These activities challenge students as they match the correct base words to the appropriate prefixes and suffixes. After students distinguish the correct prefix/suffix and base word, they then must write the entire word on their recording sheet. I have also included two review sheets that give students the opportunity to read a sentence, find the word with a prefix/suffix, and use what they know about the prefix/suffix to determine the meaning of the word.

    Prefixes included: re-,dis-, un-, pre-
