Description

This prefix resource is for the prefixes Inter, En, EM, Fore and Semi. It is perfect for Spelling or Word Work Activities. It is also a great independent activity to test students’ ability to apply their knowledge. Through a choose your own character activity, students select one of three characters to read about and then write their own ending to that character's story, using words with the prefixes Inter, En, Em, Fore, Semi. They simply click on the underlined links to move onto the slide they need.

  • Done in Google Slide, Great to Assign in Google Classroom
  • Each story focuses on the prefixes: Inter, En, Em, Fore, Semi
  • Students are asked to use at least three of the prefix words in their ending.
  • Highly engaging for any student in grades 2 and up.

Technology Requirements

  • Access to the internet and a Google Account
  • Google Classroom for sharing Google Slides and Google Forms documents to your students
  • Google Slides is in view only, make a copy and share out all or a portion of the presentation to your students
  • For Google Forms, you will be asked to make a copy. All quizzes for the reading passages are in Google Forms

Don't have a Google Account

Convert to Microsoft PowerPoint

  • Open Google Slides document
  • Go to File, Download, Microsoft PowerPoint (.pptx)

To Print

  • To produce a hard copy simply hit File and Print
  • Entire document can be printed or a portion of the slides you want
